Greetings from Your Principal

It’s hard to believe that I am beginning my 8th year as your principal.   I can truly say that it has been a great experience thus far and I’m looking forward to another exciting year at CES! I have grown to love and respect the strong values that are exhibited throughout the Centralhatchee community. Once you are a part of it, you can truly understand what makes this small community so special!

As we move into another school year, please keep in mind that it takes everyone doing their part to educate the boys and girls of this community. The Centralhatchee Elementary staff pledges to do whatever it takes to promote a quality learning environment. You can assist us by making sure that your child has an adequate amount of sleep each night and is at school on time each day. We appreciate your trust in our ability to meet the needs of all of our students.

I encourage you to get involved with your children’s education, whether that consists of making sure they complete their homework each night, or by volunteering at the school! Please know that you voice counts and that I am always willing to hear your concerns or ideas regarding how we can improve the educational program at Centralhatchee Elementary! Let’s work together to make the 2013- 2014 school year the best one yet!

  Sincerely,
    Dr. Carol R. Thomas

AR Cafe!

We had 121 students in grades 1-5 who earned their Accelerated Reading Goal for the 2nd nine weeks!  We had a great time eating nachos and cheese, decorating cupcakes with yummy icing, and drinking sweet tea!   Students then enjoyed a toy walk with great music!  Thanks to all who helped make this a wonderful reward for our readers!
