Heard County Volleyball will host tryouts for the 2020 season on August 5th and 6th. Middle school tryouts will be held from 4:00- 5:30 and high school from 5:30-7:30. Both tryouts will take place at Heard Elementary. For any 6th-12th grade girls interested in trying out there will be an open gym on July 21st through July 23rd from 9:00-11:00 at Heard Elementary. We ask that each athlete bring their own water bottle and get an updated physical as soon as possible
Workouts are back this week. HHS FB and Boys BB will be Monday-Thursday and same times. High school softball tryouts will be M and Tu. Volleyball 6-12 grades will be Monday-Thursday at HES. All other sports will be the same as before dead week. No cheerleading this week.
We can confirm a member of Heard High School summer workouts has tested positive for Covid 19. We have contacted the Department of Public Health and have followed the specific instructions they provided. Those guidelines require the specific group of kids and staff members that have been in direct contact with the confirmed case to be notified. We were able to contact each person in the cluster based on the traceability records we have kept this summer under the guidance of GHSA. Heard County along with every system in the state will participate in the annual GHSA dead week this upcoming week. We will return on Monday July 6th with regular summer workouts and conditioning as previously scheduled.
