To CES parents: TWO BIG REMINDERS for TOMORROW. Visit the PAVILION at the Centralhatchee Park, 10:00am to 6:00pm, to receive FREE school supplies for all Kindergarten through 5th grade CES students. Open House is also tomorrow. Doors open at 1:00, and we'll finish at 7:00. If possible, stop by the pavilion (for your school supplies) on your way to Open House, then your child can leave their supplies in the classroom with their teacher and won't have to bring them back on the first day of school. Please make sure you have completed all paperwork for student registration before coming to Open House. Thanks, and see you tomorrow.

Important Information before attending Open House.
When completing registration forms in the PowerSchool Parent Portal, check the "submission status." All forms need to say submitted or approved. If you have a form that says "not submitted," you need to complete and submit that form asap! Please make sure all forms are completed before coming to open house on August 1. Please contact the school if you need help.

CES families, please see the info below and share this with your CES friends. Thanks!

Receipts can be turned in starting TOMORROW! Make sure your child's name is on them!
Join Us for a Receipt Drive! Support Centralhatchee Elementary and Help Us Raise $$ for Reading Prizes! We are excited to invite you to join our Receipt Drive event! We're raising funds to support our accelerated reading initiatives, and we need your help. It's a very easy way for you to contribute to our school's initiative in getting our students to read! Here's how you can help: Receipt Collection: We'll be collecting receipts from ALL businesses ALL YEAR. Simply send in your receipts with your child's name on them and help us accumulate funds! Every receipt counts as long as it is turned in to the school within the first FOUR days of purchase. We will simply scan your receipt into a program to obtain points that transfers into $$ to purchase reading prizes. Each month the student who has submitted the most receipts will receive a FREE Kona Ice so make sure you label them! Remember, the more receipts we collect, the more rewards we can purchase for students who meet their reading goals. Remember to save your receipts starting the first week of school and spread the word among your friends, neighbors, and local businesses. We appreciate your support, and together we can make a significant impact on the education and opportunities we provide to our students.

Please see the picture below for a Back to School Bash reminder! This is a good opportunity for your HC student to get school supplies.

Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all that serve!

To CES families. The forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning is calling for rain. We have a back-up plan in place to have a shortened version of field day in the new and old gyms. Not all grade levels will start at 8:00. Your child's teacher may send you a message letting you know of the time for that class. Parents are still welcome to join us, but some of the morning time will be spent in the classroom and not outside at field day IF the weather keeps us from going out. Free checkouts are still allowed for tomorrow. We hope the rain holds off, but we had to prepare another option just in case. Thanks!

Happy Appreciation Day to the Heard County SLPs. Thank you ladies for all you do for our students!

Happy Mother's Day to our CES moms!

Hey CES families. Students in 5th grade will be taking the Science sections of the Milestones tomorrow. Please make sure they get a good night's sleep tonight and please have them at school ON TIME in the morning (no later than 7:40!). Our students (and teachers) have worked hard this year, and I'm confident they will do well on the state assessment. Thank you parents for your help!
BTW, students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will begin the ELA sections of the Milestones next TUESDAY.

CES will be joining other Heard County Schools this Thursday, April 27 for an Autism Awareness "hat day." Please see the flyer pictured here. Wear blue = wear your hat to class!

Our 5th graders are at the Rome Braves baseball game today.
