Congratulations to our October Readers of the Month!

CES families... We have had a tremendous spike in flu-like symptoms amongst our children. We are hoping to see this trend decline as the weekend is approaching. Flu season is just beginning in Georgia. According to the GA Dept of Public Health GA is one of the states being hit hardest right now. If your child is symptomatic please keep them at home, and remember any child who has had a fever within the past 24 hours is not able to attend school. The school system will be conducting a deep cleaning of the school this weekend to help mitigate the spread as well. Thank you for your cooperation!

1st grade field trip fun at Callaway Gardens.

“Hello Brave Nation! My name is Maggi Hines! I’m your new music teacher at CES and EES. I just wanted to share this really cool opportunity with you that’s going on at UGA! I understand we aren’t all Dawg fans, but it’s still a super fun day! As someone who is a Sigma Alpha Iota alumna and volunteered at this event for many years, I can guarantee that the sisters make this day so much fun for the kiddos! And hey, it gives you an excuse to visit Athens for the day! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. My email is maggi.hines@heard.k12.ga.us. If you decide to participate, please let me know!
Go Dawgs and Go Braves!!!”

Our second graders loved their Red Ribbon Week shirts from the HC Sheriff’s Dept.

Don't forget to purchase a yearbook before Dec. 21! 5th Grade Yearbook ads need to be purchased by Dec. 21st also!

Please see the picture for our Red Ribbon Week “dress up” themes.

Fall Festival 2022

24 hours from now... this year's Fall Festival, 6:00 - 8:00! Please note, our doors will not open until 6:00 so we can have all workers in place.
A wristbands and tickets table will be set-up outside the OLD GYM (please see Mrs Stephanie's table to get your pre-purchased wristbands or purchase your wristbands/game tickets). Tickets are $1 each, and each game takes a ticket, so buying a wristband is the best economical decision if your student plans on playing multiple games.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow night at 6:00.
