IMPORTANT: VETERANS DAY PARADE MOVED TO MONDAY, NOVEMBER 14.
Due to the high probability of rain on Friday, November 11, the Veterans Day Parade has been moved to Monday, November 14. We value this opportunity for our students to honor our Veterans and want our Veterans to have a quality experience.
Times will remain the same:
9:30 - Veterans line up at bus barn
9:45 - CES and EES arrive at HCES
10:00 - Parade begins at HCES
10:30 - Veterans arrive at HCMS
11:00 - Veterans arrive at HCHS
Parade concludes at the GPAC for refreshments and fellowship for the Veterans.

Happy Birthday this week to three of our students!

Hank Stephens, our latest Reflex master of multiplication and division.

Parents and guardians… Pictured here are both sides of the letter that was sent home earlier this week regarding the “Child Awareness” lessons we are required to complete with our school counselor. Please understand the intention of these lessons is to make your child aware of protecting themselves and others. On Monday of next week, I will post the outline for the lessons for each grade level. The students in fifth grade, third grade, and first grade will have their lesson next Wednesday. The students in fourth grade, second grade, and kindergarten will have their lesson December 14. Unless you choose for your student to “opt-out” of the lesson, all students will participate in the lesson with our school counselor.

Please see the flyer for a reminder of the Veterans Day Parade this Friday.

ART NIGHT... Monday, Nov 14, 5:30 - 6:30, in the CES gym. Come by and see your student's art work and pick-up a catalog where you can order mugs, greeting cards, key chains, and many, many more items featuring your child's artwork. This would make a great Christmas present idea for friends and families.

Congrats to Mrs Tracey Hunt on receiving the Bright Ideas Grant from Coweta-Fayette EMC. Mrs Hunt received a check to use on classroom math needs. Way to go Mrs Hunt, and thank you Coweta-Fayette EMC.

REMINDER… Art Night has been MOVED to next Monday, November 14, 5:30 - 6:30. We will meet in the gym. Thanks!

CES families... We have had a tremendous spike in flu-like symptoms amongst our children. We are hoping to see this trend decline as the weekend is approaching. Flu season is just beginning in Georgia. According to the GA Dept of Public Health GA is one of the states being hit hardest right now. If your child is symptomatic please keep them at home, and remember any child who has had a fever within the past 24 hours is not able to attend school. The school system will be conducting a deep cleaning of the school this weekend to help mitigate the spread as well. Thank you for your cooperation!
